Ang Thong National Marine Park Tour

What :

Ang Thong National Park’s emerald waters, blonde beaches, and sheer limestone cliffs are the kinds of places that inspire novels about escaping city life for a simpler way of doing things, literally.

Alex Garland’s infamous book “The Beach” (about a group of backpackers who build and then destroy an isolated paradise all their own) was inspired by this chain of 42 lush, jungle capped islands in the Gulf of Thailand.

Riddled with limestone caverns carved by tides, and speckled with diverse animal and plant life (including an incredibly friendly species of long-tailed monkey called the langur) the national park hosts a plethora of secret lagoons, hidden forests, and stunning rock formations for travelers on luxury tours of Thailand to explore.

When :

The Ang Thong National Park is closed from the beginning of November to the end of the December every year. The park is a busy destination throughout the year, but the best weather is from January to March.

Where :

Ang Thong National Park rests in the Gulf of Thailand off the coast of the Southern portion of the country. It’s best reached by private speedboat from the Island of Ko Samui.

Who :

The virgin beauty of Ang Thong is something no one should miss while on tour in Thailand.

Appropriate Attire :

Depending on your excursion choices, dress for a hike, and definitely bring along something to swim in. The emerald waters will surely lure you in for a dip.
