Our luxury Thailand tours were expressly created for mature explorers who don’t want to be rushed. Easy Tours is a small boutique agency and we only offer great guides and top upscale lodging. Over 70% of our business today is repeat and referral.

I went on my trip to Thailand without any expectations! After our first conversation and some follow-up emails, you designed a trip that was truly spectacular!! My guide Mino was so passionate about his culture, customs, and his country, that he galvanized the same respect in me.The accommodations that you chose were perfect in every way. Since I travel for a living and stay in large hotels: your choice of boutique properties was just what I needed.

Thank you for visiting the Thailand section of our website. All tours are not created equal, nor are all travel companies. In true luxury travel there is no 'One Size Fits All' and some travelers will not find us to be a good fit for their needs. Explorers who repeatedly travel with us all seem to share the following attributes -

1. You cherish learning about other cultures.
2. You value your time and don't want it wasted because of poor planning and/or execution.
3. You appreciate guides with real expertise, intelligence, and passion for their nation.
4. Your most treasured travel memories include genuine interactions with locals.
5. You like large rooms (or suites) with views at luxury hotels with great dining options.

We use the word ‘Tours’ for want of a better term. Since 2004 the Easy Tours family, both at the destinations we offer and in the U.S., has worked tirelessly to design and facilitate authentic luxury experiences for our guests. About 70% of our guests today are Repeats and Referrals.

What makes Thailand Fascinating?

It is easy to visualize Thailand as endless expanses of beautiful beaches, lush jungles with exotic wildlife, and cosmopolitan cities with a vibrant culture. Thailand is all that, and a lot more. It is an ancient Buddhist country full of gentle traditions and rituals that evoke the nation's glorious past, coexisting happily with a modern lifestyle that is a result of one of Asia's most prosperous economies.

Thailand is a very diverse destination and has something for all types of explorers. You will find a unique gentle culture, a plethora of colorful ancient monuments, incredible scenery with thrilling soft adventure options such as time with Elephants, one of the world's most celebrated cuisines, world class beaches, and the notorious nightlife in a few parts of places like Bangkok and Phuket.

The Thai are justly proud to be the only nation in its region that was not subjected to European Colonial rule during the last few centuries. This allowed their culture to develop more indigenously and peacefully, resulting in easygoing people with endearing hospitality and warmth.

Our Thailand Luxury Tours give you opportunities to get personalized insights into the unique culture by handpicking places and experiences that most tourists will never see. There is a lot of unique relevant information on Thailand throughout this long webpage.

About Easy Tours

Easy Tours was born in 2004 with two guiding principles - to provide the best small group and private luxury tours for explorers from North America, and to always value our guest's time. We have not sacrificed these principles on the altar of growth - we still guide just a couple of thousand guests a year total in all the countries we now call home.

Please take the time to review one or more of our detailed itineraries, which are different from other tours, to determine whether we are a good fit for you. The best tour of Thailand for you is one that touches your heart - your itinerary should make you really want it to start right now!

We know that the best Thailand Tours should include experiences that delight and amaze you every day of your exploration. This can only be achieved by a boutique agency with local expertise and focus on the following:
1. Genuine interactions with locals.
2. Great rooms at the best luxury hotels with excellent cuisine and service.
3. Thailand's best Accompanying Guides (Tour Directors).
4. USA and Thailand based Specialists with expert local knowledge.

The Best Luxury Hotels & Rooms

Lodging options for travelers in Thailand are unsurpassed anywhere on this planet, and we use only great rooms at the best luxury hotels.

Easy Tours is a preferred Thailand tour operator partner of boutique luxury hotels such as the gorgeous Bill Bensley designed Siam Hotel in Bangkok and the enchanting 137 Pillars House in Chiang Mai. Ask someone who has stayed at one or more of our hotels and they will verify that the service, amenities, and luxury at these hotels is unsurpassed anywhere on our planet.

The terms 'luxury' and '5-star' are used very loosely in our industry. For example, a 5-star hotel room might cost $70, and another one in the same destination may cost 10 or 20 times that - there are a lot of reasons for the difference in price. The hotels/resorts and room/suite types we use in Thailand are far above what other travel companies offer.

We include great dining options at and outside your hotels, and the restaurants at our preferred hotels receive rave reviews from guests for both local and western cuisine.

Planning a Trip to Thailand

Most American explorers start their journey in Bangkok, a thriving city on the Chao Praya River (the River of Kings). A thrilling mix of the ancient and the modern, Bangkok offers more than most places on our planet, and short excursions allow for even more fascinating experiences. Fairly short drives can take you to enchanting floating and railway markets, and even to the historical wonders of ancient Ayutthaya.

The next destinations are usually on Thailand's North, with the main one being Chiang Mai. A charming slow-paced city with beautiful and ornate temples and a fascinating night market, Chiang Mai also offers one of Thailand's best day excursions as a visit to Doi Inthanon.

A 3.5-hour scenic drive north from Chiang Mai will bring you to Chiang Rai, a sleepy town that is surrounded by some of our planet's prettiest country, and is next to the once infamous Golden Triangle, where 3 nations and two rivers meet, and Thailand's two most luxurious Responsible Elephant Camps are located in the Three Country area.

From the Chiang Rai region most explorers head south to the spectacular beaches and coastal resort areas of Thailand. As the best tour company for Thailand, we offer the option to add destinations such as the enchanting Kanchanaburi region with its spectacular national parks and historical sites such as the Bridge on the River Kwai and Hellfire Pass, along with experiences like a slow ride on the incredibly scenic Death (Burma) Railway.

The Best Time to Visit Thailand

If your goal is to avoid slightly higher temperatures and/or the monsoons, mid-October to mid-April is the best time to visit Thailand, but please note that the temperatures in most of Thailand's destinations do not vary much throughout the year as the nation is very close to the Equator. Our luxury small group tours of Thailand operate during the above months. Temperatures in the Chiang Rai area and the higher elevations near Chiang Mai can be a little cold during winter.

In Thailand it is really a choice between traveling in the dry season and the monsoon months. Bangkok gets most of its rain from late June through the end of October, but deforestation and urbanization in the Bangkok region over the last couple of decades has reduced the intensity of rain and how long it falls for each time. The Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai regions see longer rainy seasons, usually between May and the end of October. Tourism and city life in Thailand are only slightly affected during the rains and life usually goes on with only minor inconveniences. It is the sun lovers on Thailand's beaches who suffer the most during the monsoons.

The Best Time to Visit Thailand's Beaches

Phuket Island and the Krabi Region

Southern Thailand's coastal destinations, such as Phuket Island and the Krabi Region, temperature change throughout the year is minimal, and it is always fairly warm. The monsoon usually affects Phuket and Krabi from the end of April until early November, with September and October being the wettest. Except for these two rainy months, the showers almost never last all day and, in most years nowadays, are often brief. However, the sea is rough during the monsoons and swimming in the ocean can be very dangerous - most hotel beaches are closed. Excursions to islands are often cancelled during this period.

Koh Samui in the Gulf of Thailand

If you are traveling to Thailand between May and early October, we strongly recommend that you use the Koh Samui region as your beach escape. The Gulf of Thailand does not see most of the onset of the monsoon and is affected primarily by the retreating monsoon, which usually hits the region in mid-October through the end of December. There are other islands and resort areas in the gulf besides Koh Samui, but Koh Samui is the only island that offers true luxury resorts. Again, the sea is rough during the rainy period and swimming in the ocean can be very dangerous - most hotel beaches are closed.

More About Easy Tours

Having facilitated the top-rated escorted tours of Thailand for North American travelers for over a decade, Easy Tours knows what makes for a truly memorable exploration. We believe that the three most important parts of the best Thailand tours are well planned itineraries, great guides, and boutique luxury hotels.

We are able to offer the best small group and private tours of Thailand for upscale explorers because we understand what our guests enjoy. Our guests like a diverse mix of culture, nature, local colors, history, and insights into the everyday lives of the locals. Easy Tours focuses on providing such experiences.

Because we know great food and a good night's sleep are an integral part of the best Thailand tours, we offer options between gourmet regional cuisine and fine western fare. We use upgraded rooms and suites in the best hotels in Thailand as we don't like small base rooms.

We feel that the most important facet of the best tour packages in Thailand is your guide's passion for, and knowledge of, their homeland. It is human interactions that make up a discerning explorers' fondest memories, not how many sights, or cities, they visited while touring. Our guests tend to wax poetic about our colleagues, and write many paragraphs about them in their reviews!

Passion leads to excellence, and our guests interact with people deeply committed to your satisfaction all through the reservation and travel experience. This is a key reason why about 70% of our guests are repeat and referral travelers today, and our reviewers consistently state that we are not just the best tour operator in Thailand, we are unmatched in the world! Please take a minute or two to read some of our guest reviews. You will notice that almost all our guests, during their exploration, develop relationships with Easy Tours' Tour Director Guides. We have many guests from over a decade ago that, even today, maintain relationships with our Thailand based colleagues.
