Mergui Archipelago Travel Information

The Mergui Archipelago is a chain of some 000 islands strewn across the Andaman Sea along Myanmar’s southern coast.

The limestone and granite islands, capped by thick tropical growths of rainforests and wrapped in silver-gold beaches, glitter in the daylight like a broken necklace of previous stones cast into the emerald sea. Almost entirely undeveloped, the chain of islands if flush with wildlife and dense forests, and the pristine waters of the Andaman Sea provide excellent opportunities for snorkeling, diving, and kayaking excursions.
